2 February 2021China Global Philanthropy Institute (CGPI), China’s first independently registered institute of philanthropy and partner to GIWM, celebrates its fifth anniversary with GIWM Executive Manager Prof. Rajna Gibson Brandon, University of Geneva Rector Yves Flückiger, Bill Gates, and Ray Dalio on November 27, 2020.
In the past five years, CGPI has united domestic and foreign philanthropists and charity organizations to create a new type of education in philanthropy and expert think-tanks, build an open community exchange platform, provide training and practical resources of public welfare at home and abroad, promote integration of research and industry, and foster cross-border interaction between government, business and social organizations.
In 2020, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between GIWM, CGPI and the University of Geneva. The parties will jointly initiate a program in Applied Finance with specialisation in Sustainable Assets and Wealth Management. This partnership enables us to bring together Switzerland’s long experience in philanthropy and wealth management with China’s culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The event of the day is both a celebration of the five-year anniversary of CGPI and the official launch of the newly developed exectutive doctorate program.
